17th Annual Law Enforcement and Prosecuting Attorney Impaired Driving Conference
The Criminal Justice Institute, in partnership with the Arkansas Office of the Prosecutor Coordinator, will host a Law Enforcement and Prosecuting Attorney Impaired Driving Conference on June 12-14, 2017 at the Four Points by Sheraton hotel in Little Rock. In addition to presenting information on impaired driving issues to all law enforcement, breakout sessions will be provided specifically for DREs and Prosecutors. Conference attendees will receive 13 CLEST hours for successfully attending the entire conference.
The conference will focus on the latest research, methods, and initiatives used to detect, evaluate and prosecute the impaired driver. Some of the topics will include the following:
- Oral Fluid Testing
- Case Law Updates
- Marijuana Usage and Detecting Impairment
- New Drug Trends
For those individuals driving 50 miles or more; in accordance with State travel regulations, CJI will "only" cover the lodging costs for a limited number of rooms at the Four Points by Sheraton. Please indicate on the registration form if you are requesting lodging paid for by CJI. Rooms will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis. Note: Lunch will be provided at the conference on day 2.
