Rural Executive Management Institute (REMI) Project
THE REMI PROJECT IS NOT CURRENTLY BEING OFFERED.
The Rural Executive Management Institute (REMI) Project was a management education and training program designed to prepare rural law enforcement executives for the unique challenges they face as agency heads of small law enforcement agencies. While attending this intense four-day training program created exclusively for rural law enforcement agency heads, participants received up-to-date information on key issues in rural law enforcement management and also had the unique opportunity to interact with peers from neighboring states.
1,076 rural law enforcement executives attended REMI sessions held in 33 different cities in 29 states across the United States. This project was made possible by a federal grant from the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance. Unfortunately, the Bureau of Justice Assistance chose not to continue this project.
