Code 9 S.H.A.R.E. First Responder Training for the Prevention of PTSD

This workshop is for all First Responders (Police, Fire and Medical) and is designed to help them learn to identify stress related problems, their sources and how to overcome them. This course will explore different approaches to managing career and family stressors. Participants will learn new approaches for alternative communication techniques to reduce and minimize stress.  This workshop will discuss topics and areas such as Stress, Trauma, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Anxiety, Anger and Fear.  Tools to help overcome and cope with symptoms such as Anchors, Language Tools and Introduction to Self Care will be introduced and discussed with participants.  This workshop is very interactive and participants are encouraged to ask questions at any time with scheduled question and answer segments at the end of each section.

There is a workshop that is designed to assist and educate the families of First Responders. This training is formatted to help families support their First Responder and learn how to understand and effectively reduce and overcome the stress of being in a First Responder Family.

• This class is 12 hours.
• Class hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• This class is available at no charge.
