2019 Drug Recognition Expert Seminar
The Criminal Justice Institute will host an 8-hour Drug Recognition Expert Seminar, September 20, 2019, at the Wyndham Riverfront Hotel in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
THIS SEMINAR IS FOR CERTIFIED DRUG RECOGNITION EXPERTS ONLY.
Seminar attendees will receive 8 CLEST hours and 8 hours of DRE recertification training for successfully attending the entire seminar. Attendees will also have the opportunity to obtain a DRE Instructor witnessed DRE evaluation by participating in a DRE instructor witnessed evaluation event the night before the seminar, September 19, 2019, at the Wyndham Riverfront Hotel.
The conference will focus on the latest research, methods, and initiatives used to detect, evaluate, and prosecute the impaired driver. Some of the topics will include the following:
• Marijuana Laws in Arkansas
• Current Arkansas Drug Trends presented by DRE Panel
• Synthetic Marijuana
• Drugged Driving Defense Strategies
Note: Lunch will be provided at the seminar.
Note: CJI will provide hotel rooms free of charge to the first 60 attendees to register who reside 50 miles or more from the event venue.
