COURSE DESCRIPTION: This 8-hour course is designed for the investigator. “Getting The Confession – The Investigator’s Secret Tools” will focus on getting the confession from the person that has been identified as the perpetrator of the crime.  It is designed for investigators to improve their interview and interrogation skills and to train them to know what really works to get the confession.  This course teaches the investigator to quickly establish a rapport and obtain information from the guilty subject. This course will train the investigator to identify the confession point and overcome resistance which leads to acquiring the confession from the guilty subject. The course is supported by numerous video clips from real interviews and interrogations supplying live examples of the techniques taught. They act as a guide for the students to practice the skills and techniques taught during the course.  Topics covered include: the best approach to get the confession; Kinesics - body language; techniques on how to establish a rapport; the presentation of findings; the use of dual option question; coordinated Behavioral Response; the identification of micro-gestures that indicate an admission of guilt; interrogation Strategies; how to identify subtle indicators of admissions; rewarding and capitalizing on the first admission; identify and exploit the confession position; and getting the full confession.
