Verbal Fitness for Leadership is an 8-hour class that will focus on the central role of effective verbal interaction in leading and achieving organizational goals. Participants will identify the necessary skills for developing excellence in work groups, learn how to facilitate employee communication satisfaction, and develop skills for facilitating organizational change through strategic communication. Emphasis will be given to action planning for the development of practical communication skills for personal and organizational change.
The class will be taught by Dr. Brian Polansky. Polansky is a retired educator in professional communication, and a nationally recognized lecturer, consultant, author, and developer of education programs designed to encourage professional success in law enforcement through communication excellence. Dr. Polansky works with a wide variety of security, law enforcement and criminal justice organizations and other professionals assisting with communication education, professional development, leadership training, and organizational assessment.
This training opportunity, co-sponsored by the Criminal Justice Institute and the Bentonville Police Department, is available to certified law enforcement officers and corporate and community leaders.
